Journal #32

1. Describe a memorable learning experience
2. What is your vision for your ideal school
3. What do you need to learn & how?

1. A memorable learning experience for me was this past summer of '09. My church was having a youth camp called Revolution '09 and i was asked to come. Despite my attended has a youth leader at the time, they thought it would be good for me; to get my life back up on my feet again. Going to this camp has impacted my life so much. I've learned a lot about people & their problems, the bible & how it'll guide me through life, & of course, God. This camp had changed my life completely, i've met new friends, shed many tears of guilt, and confessed all the baggage in my life. I'll never forget Summer of '09 & Camp Revolution.

2. An ideal school that i have envisioned was a school where students can learn freely. It consist of different buildings that fits each career. Like Arts & Communication, Health & Med, etc... In each building it will have classes that will get you to the occupation of choice. My ideal school will also be determine to be serious about their dreams and if not will be ask to attend a much lower academic. No bullies, no fights, no drama. -------kinda like college but mixed with high school.

3. I think before we leave high school we need to learn independence. We are practically going to be adults by the time we grad and we need to take our adolescent behavior seriously if we want to live in the "real world" & "big dogs". We won't see all our friends EVERYDAY so we'll basically live on our own, family & education will be on our priorities more so. But i think we need to grow up before leaving high school. Taking off the training wheels & GO!

Journal #31 What is your passion?

1. Well, i actually have many passions but if i were to choose two out of the three it would be, Photography & Singing.

2. For Photography i've purchased my own DSLR camera and have taken many photographs all over. I would just carry my camera around & take pictures of the views infront of me or something interesting. I also really like candid shot. It really portrays the full emotion of people, rather to knowing there's a camera pointing straight at you. My current experience was taking pictures for my cousins 18th birthday & on that night, i got asked to take pictures for my little cousins 1st birthday. So Photography has really opened doors since i got my camera.

Now singing is a different story, I've been singing since i was little. I didn't take vocal lessons, so i thought myself. And have this gift turned into a passion in my life. It definitely has open doors because now im currently doing worship for my church. Now im learning more and more about my voice and also about God.

3. Photography- I would actually like to take it world wide. I want to travel to Paris - to Japan. Basically everywhere to gain knowledge of what photography is really about. Im also planning to double major in photography & graphic arts (another passion). So hopefully starting now will help me in the future.

Singing- I definitely what to stay in the area of church for singing. To grow with the people, the music, & with God. It'll help me to go beyond just singing but also getting closer & stronger with God. Im also open to learning more about music and to level up on my vocal skills. But im not to sure if i'll take singing to record deals or setting it as a career.

Chance of Change

"Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think..." Romans 12:2

The world is filled with so many interests that appeal to the eye. So appealing that people can't seem to realize what's good and bad now days. People don't know how to control themselves when encountering certain situations were making decisions comes in. They can't seem to see what's really in front of them. That thin sheet of glass is called change.

The bible scripture at the top is a very special verse that reminds me to not copy what the world is today. The world has changed so much over the years. Teens getting pregnant at 16? Swearing with out censor on MTV? Dating shows for celebrities? What's all of this non-sense coming to mans mind. Everyone loses focus of being in control with their heart & mind. This second line of the verse ("but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think") has a different story.

I've been a fully devoted Christian for about a year now and it has made such progress in my life. I remember seeing this scripture from a good friend on Tumblr. It made me think about so many things and what the world is now. God has transformed me so much. The way i think, the way i speak, the way is see. He has basically changed me into a completely person person.

I remember summer of '09 i finally realized what was going on in my life. I wasn't going to church like before, i was falling behind in school, and most of all i was being influenced in the wrong way. But then i decided to go visit church one night and my life had changed since then. I felt as if a gigantic boulder crumbled off my shoulder as everyone greeted me, "i missed you micah" "how you been?". I never felted so loved and happy in my life. I've decided to keep coming to getting my life back on its feet. I've changed from good to bad and back to good.

Everyone deserves a chance to change their life back around. I'm not saying that you have to be Christian to have this happen to you but this is just really happened to me. I'm don't just some cookie-cutter talk to make you feel better but i feel people should realize that you change everyday. You're like clay being put into peoples hands, molded and shaped into what they want you do be. What not take a hold of you life and really think what you're doing.

Draft Allusive Poem

As he sits down on a clean slate canvas
He paints his ideas of creativity
It brings joy to the outsiders of his world
He has created masterpiece by masterpiece
Reaching for his earphones...

Silencing all distraction
With his music
The smooth sounds fill the canvas
With vibrant colors
This clean isn't so clean after all
Dirty with glow

He lights up the world
as the day does by, bring joy to people in need
The healer , the advisor
Always putting a smile on there faces
Leaving them in peace

Nothing can stop
For he is past the clouds
Looking down on Earth.

More than just firework.

Hawaii is one of the luckiest and one of the only states that celebrate the New Year's popping fireworks. So many people rush to the supermarkets to buy the best. No matter how much it costs everyone in Hawaii thinks its all worth it. It brings joy to the little ones to see that big, bright, spark in the sky. Smoke fills the air on this big night of New Year's Eve. You hear all the BOOMs! BAMs! in the sky. Which both, smoke and sounds don't bring music to their ears and nose. Local residents complain and "try" to make all this stop but some just feel like its all worth burning through the night.
Some go to extravagant that leave people with a night to remember, sending them in critical conditions of burns, scars, and cuts. People should be more responsible and cautious when popping fireworks. Overall, fireworks has been apart of Hawaii for many years. Some for tradition, some for fun, and some to celebrate on this special day. It has always burn that fire in our hearts to do it again next year.
